Roasting Hot Dogs and Marshmallows

Since this will probably be one of the last nice weekends of the year, my grandparents had us down for a bonfire. Kensley ended up having a blast as my grandpa pulled her around the yard by his lawn mower.

Rowan got to ride too, and he waived at everyone as he passed. It was so cute.

I remember being obsessed with bonfires when I was a little kid. I loved cooking my own food and at night getting our sticks to glow and then waiving them around in the air to make patterns. Kensley seems to be just like me. She LOVED cooking her food.

Ro had a good time getting spoiled by gramma

Looks like we need to work on our marshmallow roasting skills!

Happy Birthday GiGi!

Sunday was GiGi's Birthday!

Rowan was super happy to get to go see her. 

We baked her some birthday cookies (funfetti cake cookies) and spent the day with Grandma and Papa too. 

Any day spent at Grandma and Papa's is a good day. Kensley ate her weight in candy, built a snowman and had fun wrestling with Papa.

Being so spoiled is exhausting!

Weekend at Grandma's

Saturday we bundled up (well, not really. Its been in the 60's all weekend. What is up with this weather?) and headed to grandma and papa's house.



(Believe me it is much more fun than Rowan's face lets on.)



We broke out the farm to play with.



And chased papa all over the house.



Uncle Colton helped us "fly".



I promise no roosters were killed in the making of this hat...





But mostly we got held and loved on, and isn't that the best reason to go to grandma and papa's?










We think so!

Visitors

My cousin and her boyfriend came to visit from Wisconsin last week. They surprised us with a visit along with Gigi and Papa. It is so nice to see them because they usually only get a chance to visit once a year. This was the first time they got to see Rowan and they couldn't believe how much Kensley had changed in a year.

Here is Gigi (my grandma) holding Rowan. She wanted a picture of her holding Rowan with K in the picture and this next picture cracks me up. This is definitely how it goes when trying to get a two year old to sit still long enough to take a picture.



Here is my Papa holding Rowan. I believe this is he first time he held him. They came to the hospital to visit but I don't think he held him then. Papa likes babies a little bit bigger so that he can wrestle around with them. Poor Rowan had enough of being passed around right about now.



I am so glad that they all stopped by for a visit. I just love when people stop by as a surprise and it was great to see my cousin :)
